A 38-year-old man was arrested Thursday on weapon and drug charges in Riverside, Southampton Town police said.
Milson Velasquez of Riverhead was the passenger in a vehicle traveling on Pine Street near Riverleigh Avenue when police stopped the vehicle shortly after 6:30 p.m., officials said.
During the investigation, police found Mr. Velasquez was in possession of a switchblade knife and marijuana, officials said.
He was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
Mr. Velasquez was released and issued a court appearance ticket, officials said.
